Ah Robin, Gentle Robin - The Parting Glass - Will You Still Love Me - Sylvie

Classy, eh! And educational. Elinor brought us this William Cornish C15th canon, Ah Robin, Gentle Robin. Nearly on board in one session, the high line being a bit of a challenge, but as usual it was lovely, stimulating music, a pleasure to sing. Elinor swears, by the by, she'll drag herself back to the C21st very soon.

After the interval, Anne led us through three "recent" songs (Sylvie was with percussion - sort of) each accompanied by our own recorded tracks. Good that these recordings are filling out with more of us Chorovini - we are actually singing with our own choir. And that, among other virtues, helps reduce the weird factor.

More talk about song choice for the next video. Anne shared her latest of Shiraz doing You've Lost That Loving Feeling earlier this week. She suggested we might record tracks on bandlab first, then video ourselves synching along. We talked about choosing something upbeat and also bringing back some earlier arrangements  - Sound of Silence, Deadwood Stage...

And she also gave us a taster of another torture, the Cups song, made famous in Pitch Perfect 2, as we all know. This is on the menu for next week.

Anne would like lots more of us adding to our record library. Some songs are full enough, but there are several others needing contributions, including King of the Road, just added to Bandlab.

How good to see Caroline able to return. She was in at the beginning of this interesting journey. Welcome back. And welcome too to John. Great to hear you enjoyed it. I hope you're tempted to be a regular.
